After breakfast we'll head towards the Powder Lodge in Farellones. After checking into our lodge we'll gear up and spend the afternoon warming up at one of the nearby resorts.
After our first day riding we'll head back to our lodge for a delicious included dinner and drinks.
Day 3 & 4:
La Parva en El Colorado are both a short distance away from our lodge. Each morning we'll check snow and weather conditions and head up the mountain for our some amazing days freeriding. The first day a local guide will show us to the best possible spots. Using lifts and short hikes we'll explore the amazing runs these places have to offer. After some Chilean apres ski we'll head back to the lodge for another delicious meal. At the end of day 4 we'll drive towards Los Andes where we'll be staying in a beautiful mountain hotel with amazing pool.
After a good breakfast we'll jump in the 4x4 and head out onto the beautiful road to Ski Arpa. Here we'll spend the day cat skiing the fun couloirs, steep pitches and open bowls.
Ski Arpa offers runs of about 900 vertical meters, something you don't often see with cat skiing. After an amazing day cat skiing at Ski Arpa, and have taken in the beautiful sunset we'll head back to Termas de Jahuel Hotel for another delicious meal and Chilean wines.
We use today to find the best powder in Portillo. Portillo is not only know for the yellow hotel on the beautiful lake, but also for the fantastic freeride possibilities. Because of the limited accommodation options in Portillo crowds are often minimum meaning no lift lines and 'First' tracks for days! The spectacular setting on the lake is another favorite among freeriders. The combination between the high peaks of the Andes, The crystal clear, turquoise waters of Laguna del Inca and the steep slopes make for a beautiful backdrop.
At the end of the day we'll drive back to Santiago, for a night out in the town.
Today is a little more relaxing. After breakfast we'll head towards the train station for our journey to Chillán. The train rides us trough the beautiful Chilean landscape. A nice way to really see this beautiful country. We'll spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool or checking out the local hotsprings near the hotel.
Day 8, 9 & 10:
We'll spend these days exploring the powder paradise; Nevados de Chillán. Nevados de Chillan is a resort positioned on the edge of 3 active volcanoes. Nevados de Chillan is great for beginners and experts but it's mainly great for the fun and interesting off-piste terrain that is created out out of lava rivers. There are a lot of great powder runs to be found in this area and crowds are usually non-existing. It is also one of the few Chilean resorts where treeruns are possible. After every day we get to relax in the hotels pool or check out the local hotsprings. Make sure to bring swim wear. The first day we'll have a local guide to show us the best back- and sidecountry runs in the area.
Today we'll head back to Santiago by train. The afternoon can be spend relaxing in the hotel, sightseeing around town or visiting one of the many bars and restaurants. After a day exploring around town, or relaxing in the pool we'll head out for our final night. We'll go to a nice Chilean restaurant and see where the night takes us..
Unfortunately all good things come to an end and it's today time to say our goodbyes. After an amazing tour, exploring the great Chilean resorts and experiencing it's interesting culture with delicious cuisine we'll head back to the airport for our flight back home.
For those wanting to combine snow + surf, there are many beautiful beaches around Santiago where in winter the waves are pumping. Spend a few extra days in Santiago and explore these beaches. We can arrange extra hotels, transfers and trips you might need.
This tour is for the freerider that wants to chase pow in summer. As most resorts are on a high altitude, a good physical fitness it recommended.
Any experience in powder, steep slopes and firm snow packs is also recommended to get as much out of your experience as possible.
As we'll be heading away from groomed runs, in a backcountry environment, backcountry equipment (backpack, shovel, probe, beacon & airbag) is also recommended.
The hotels and lodges we're staying are twin rooms. Some hotels feature pools or hotsprings so swim clothes are recommended.
Breakfast is included for every day and except in Santiago dinner is also included.
Single rooms are available at extra cost.
